Seniors and their Families

High school can be a challenging time, filled with academic pressure, social struggles, and personal growth. However, one constant throughout this tumultuous period is the strength of family. Whether it’s your immediate family or extended relatives, these relationships can provide a sense of stability, support, and love that can help you navigate the ups and downs of high school. From cheering you on at sporting events to helping you study for exams, the strength of family can be a powerful force that helps you not only survive but thrive during these important years! That’s why including family members in our senior shoots is so powerful, and so precious.

Each of our amazing senior clients have the ability to do some images with their family or siblings. This is the perfect way to update your family portraits before your high schooler leaves for college, or to simply enjoy celebrating together. There is no added cost for this option, and it’s available for all senior clients (with the exception of some mini sessions). If you’re planning to utilize these extra images, simply let me know so we can design the right poses and locations for your added family member or members. It’s not necessary that they dress in perfectly coordinating outfits, but that certainly adds a nice polished look. As you can see below, these families chose to select outfits that look cohesive together but are not overly “matchy-matchy”, which can look outdated quickly. Opt for smaller prints, solids, or neutrals for a look you’ll love displaying on your walls.

Your family plays a pivotal role in your life as you’re growing up, and celebrating their part in your memories is only right as you close out senior year. If you have questions about including your siblings or family member(s), please let me know. I’m happy to explain where they come into the shoot, and how it works (trust me, it’s stress-free and simple!), and how we incorporate the loved ones of your choosing.
