Jainine | Seminole High School

Discovering who we are often comes at a price. Sometimes, we disappoint people we love, sometimes we have to leave people in our past, or give up something that we hold dear. Even though the journey can be hard, we often gain much more than we lose, and learning who we are is an important life step! For Jainine, high school was the time that proved formative for her, and she is proud of who she is today! “My biggest accomplishment has been finding out who I am, and doing that was a journey”, she shared, “My friends would describe me now as supportive and decisive, as well as funny and honest”. This sweet, imaginative and creative young lady has graduated from Seminole High School this year, and is someone truly special. She has a bright and creative mind that is always happiest when she’s doing something like singing, painting, or designing clothes. In fact, fashion design her her passion, and she plans to pursue this at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the fall. “I chose this school because it has so many opportunities for people who are interested in the arts, and specifically fashion design”, she adds.

Besides all of her artistic pursuits, Jainine also has enjoyed working at Old Navy as a brand associate, and volunteering her time at True Roots Wellness which specializes in natural medicine. It probably won’t come as a surprise that art is her favorite subject at school, and she also enjoys playing the piano. Her love of fashion also comes out in her personal style, which she jokes is, “basic subversive fashion”. She loves to ship at vintage stores, Urban Outfitters, and Emmiol, and values earth tones with a boho edge. Besides heading to her amazing college future, she plans to knock a few things off her bucket list now that she’s graduated, including living on an island and creating her own clothing line.

I sure enjoyed my time with this beautiful and caring young lady. Congratulations, Jainine!
