Posing, posing, posing. Oh yeah, and did I mention…posing? Ha! I know that this concept is something that many people balk at. It can feel intimidating, because you may feel like you need to be a supermodel to know “how to pose”. I assure you that my clients may look like supermodels, but most have never modeled in their lives, and have rarely had professional photos done! In fact, for some, this is the first time they’ve ever had professional portraits done, and they are a nervous wreck, but that’s the power of a senior photographer. Ali is the beautiful young lady below, and she got the hang of posing right away! She’s a graduate of Circle Christian, where she’s been balancing her classwork with her active work volunteering in her community. She loves working with her church to help run summer camps, and in her spare time, enjoys gardening and listening to music. She is hoping to be accepted to UCF, where she plans to study physical therapy one day. Her friends describe her as funny and caring, and she shared, “I’ve learned in high school that I always need to be open to change. I am proud I have almost finished high school, and plan to work to make others happy in the future!” She says she really looks up to her old caretaker, because, “she was always so genuine and treated everyone with respect and love”.
“I chose you for my senior photographs because I didn’t like the unnatural poses I saw with other photographers”, explained Ali, “I didn’t know how to pose, but you had taken my cousin’s senior pictures, and my brother’s. Posing was something she was a little nervous about when she booked her shoot, but we quickly fell into our groove, and the results were FANTASTIC!
