Maria | Lake Brantley High School

There is something of a “gut reaction” as a senior photographer. I find that many times, I can tell right off the bat when I will really connect and click with a wonderful senior client! I feel that way about Maria…I knew she was going to be a fabulous subject, and she was. She has a huge smile and a confidence and authenticity that shines out of her in everything she does. Maria attends Lake Brantley High School, where she has truly felt at home, and she’s actively involved in Student Government, the Business Professionals of America, and the sunshine club. The sunshine club was founded in 2011, and I LOVE the idea behind it: students working together to improve their communities and brighten people’s days with goodie bags and balloons. They also work to fundraise for causes like cancer awareness, and helping children in foster care. Besides her many impressive school activities, she also enjoys working as a student in the Academy of Finances, playing tennis on the varsity team, and participating in peer counseling. Somehow, she still has found time to work as a server and an administrative assistant! One of her favorite high school memories has been going to the BPA Nationals in Boston during her senior year.

Her spare time is usually filled with shopping, traveling, hiking, going to the theater, and spending time with friends and family. “Motivated, outgoing, and go-getter” are the three words that best describe this beautiful and passionate girl. I asked her about her favorite current trends (because she’s a super stylish gal!), and she said some of the most-loved pieces in her wardrobe are two-piece sets, and trendy denim. Maria loves shopping at stores like American Eagle and Sophie and Trey, and says her favorite color to wear is black. She shared with me that she envisioned pretty backdrops and beautiful scenery for her shoot, as well as a fun overall experience! I think we achieved everything she dreamed, and her images truly speak for themselves. In the next five years, Maria hopes to go skydiving, go to Europe, and meet country singer Thomas Rhett; because of her incredible motivation, I bet she will do all three!

Thank you, Maria, for allowing me to be your senior photographer! It was an amazing honor, and I wish you the most successful future!
