Ethan’s one of the most charming guys you’ll ever meet. I should know, his family and mine have been friends ever since the boys were in elementary. He’s the oldest of three, and he’s graduating from Lake Highland Preparatory School. He’s a fantastic left-handed pitcher, and he’s signed with Emory University in Atlanta to play on their baseball team. He has such a drive and dedication to the sport, and he’s spent so much time putting his talents to the test, developing some amazing skill. We had such a great time in his session, and I think the photos are a testament to it!
It was such a fun shoot, for a lot of reasons. For one thing, Ethan is such a fun guy to be around, and he made the session go by way too fast. For another, we found a bunch of motorcycles, and their owners let us use them as props! It was just perfect for the urban vibe we were going for. Ethan’s got that infectious charm in his smile, and you can really see it come out in his photos below. Something that really brings that smile out is his jeep, which we featured in his session, and I’ve got to say, it’s very nice! Next, we visited Lake Highland Prep to showcase his uniform and his love for baseball. If his jeep brings out his smile, being on the field brings it out even more. You can see how his passion for it bubbles over in the few photos below.
All in all, I think it was a fantastic shoot. I love urban sessions, because you get to look for all the different colors and textures that you would otherwise pass by on your way through town. The cracking doors with the peeling paint, rusty stairways, or the pitcher’s mound each have their own vibe, and it was so fun shooting in the variety of locations that we did. And it was a privilege seeing Ethan’s passion for the things he loves, whether it be baseball, his jeep, or being out on the town. I wish him all the best in his studies and his playing, and I hope he has a long and fruitful career!
