When a senior is referred by another friend, I want to do something special; honor that they chose me because they loved their friend’s photos, but also give them an unique experience all their own. Lauren was referred by her friend Hanna, and they both loved the creativity and locations in my sessions. I’m so glad she entrusted me with this special day. This beautiful gal is graduating from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in the summer, and she has been doing as much as she can to soak up her senior year so far. She’s involved in multiple honor societies, and is the co-founder and co-president of the Food for Thought club at her local school, adding, “We raise awareness and donate to people in the community who have food insecurity”. She was also one of my amazing spokesmodels last year.
Besides her involvement in helping others our community, she also volunteers at San Pedro Summer Camp, sharing, “That experience was very meaningful to me, because I met some of my best friends, and was able to be part of helping children grow spiritually.” Lastly, this ultra-talented girl is a varsity cheerleader, with three state titles to her name! “My biggest accomplishment is winning states my junior year. This is a big accomplishment for me because I messed up at semi-finals and it was so liberating to perform perfectly at finals and win,” she explained. When Lauren isn’t achieving new things in academics or athletics, she enjoys baking, skiing, and traveling with her loved ones. She is hoping to attend the University of Florida, where she has dreamed of attending since she was little; she will find out in February if she has been accepted. “I plan to major in biology, because science is interesting to me,” she continues, “I hope to become a dentist in the future”.
Lauren is abundantly kind, loving, and incredible. I’m so glad to have gotten to work with her for two years now, and am so proud of who she is.
