A passion for life is what carries us through the hardest of times. This amazing senior has just that, and has weathered this last year of high school with grace and laughter. Of course, we did these photos before the world came to a halt, and I’m so very glad we were able to still celebrate all of the things he has done and learned in his high school years, including his incredible baseball career. McGwire hails from a family who LOVES baseball, and who are his biggest cheerleaders. Dad calls it “the greatest game on earth”, and his parents both joined us for this session. I really enjoy working with this family, and count them among my friends! I was able to take his sister’s senior photos previously, and any chance I get to reconnect with them is a treat. His sister is now at school in California. McGwire has committed to play baseball for West Virginia University, and we are all so very proud of his drive and passion for the sport. It has taken him far in life, and will surely take him even further!
Wardrobe is a key part of every shoot, and McGwire carefully thought through everything he chose. His suit fit him perfectly, and I liked the subtle pattern woven into it (I am a big fan of details and textures, when it comes to your wardrobe). Of course, we included his new college sweatshirt, and his Bishop Moore baseball uniform, in order to truly celebrate one of the biggest passions in his life. For many guys, their senior photoshoot isn’t high on their list of priorities, but I am proud of this guy for honoring his parents and his accomplishments with this session.
Thank you, McGwire and family, for blessing me with your presence and your hearts!
