I’m not sure there is a harder task than being yourself in high school. It’s hard, especially when others are comparing you, and there are so many big events; prom, college applications and acceptances, and senior trips. It can feel like you are being compared and comparing yourself constantly. Not to mention the pressure of social media on top of that, where everyone’s highlight reel can feel impressive and important. How do you maintain your personality, your morals, and your interests? By staying true to yourself, and remembering your values…but it’s harder than you may have known. Michaelea has done an amazing job throughout her time at Boone High School, and says, “I have really learned that people come and go in your life. The ones who like you for YOU are the ones who stay.” She is a very kind-hearted and loving person, and describes herself as very determined. She is passionate about her dance and cheer interests, and feels most at home when she’s performing. She’s accomplished so many things in her cheer career, and has been part of the Varsity cheer squad and All star competitive cheer, as well as high school competitive cheerleading. Cheer is something she’s worked extremely hard at, and she’s spent many years honing her talents. Somehow, she also found time to be involved in an effort at the school to encourage students to wear their seatbelts, and also in animal aid. Michaelea has a servant’s heart and enjoys spending her time helping others.
Her agenda for senior photos included being relaxed and enjoying herself, and we were able to achieve both! We both loved these locations, and although she would have looked stunning anywhere, these brought out her smile and her spirit. She enjoys shopping at Express and Hollister, and has a polished, casual style when it comes to her wardrobe. Blue is definitely her color! Michaelea plans to attend college after she graduates, and has her sights set on the University of Florida. After graduation, she hopes to also tackle some important goals on her bucket list: to compete at the Summit cheer championship, go to Greece, and spend time exploring the beaches of Australia. “I chose Linda for my senior photos because the images were all focused on the senior,” she added, “I also loved the lighting and the natural glow, and how relaxed and natural everyone looked in their photos.”
Congratulations, sweet girl! You keep being YOU…because you are truly amazing!
