Every year as I meet the graduating seniors, I think, “Wow, the caliber of these young people are amazing”…and then I think it again the next year. Each year, they truly surpass my expectations with their joy and optimism, and they make me remember that our future is in wonderful hands. They are all doing a variety of awesome things, but primarily they are following their dreams in whatever form they can. That’s something to be proud of. Samantha is the sweetest young lady, and her family formerly resided in our neighborhood. Recently, they moved away but I was so glad she returned for her senior photos. She has an outgoing personality, is silly, and very fun. Sam is a Variety lacrosse athlete at Trinity Preparatory School, as well as being this year’s homecoming queen (her boyfriend is homecoming king!). I also had the privilege of doing her older sister’s senior photos, so this family has been a part of my life for a while. Of course, even when I do multiple siblings from one family, I make sure each session suits the individual senior. Samantha’s sweet spirit was perfect for the pretty and soft locations we chose, and I loved the photo of her and dad (still makes me giggle whenever I see it).
Samantha had a natural poise about her, and was also great at posing. I always guide my clients through the process and encourage them not to fret if they don’t feel like “models” but the truth is that many people are much better posers than they realize! Samantha also chose beautiful and stylish outfits that were beautiful with her eyes and hair, and I love that we were able to bring in her sash from homecoming! This beautiful girl is headed to college, but it still reviewing her many acceptance letters to choose the best fit. Samantha, I wish you all the good things as you set out into your future.
