Did you know that we offer mini sessions throughout the year? David took advantage of our recent mini opportunity to capture his cap and gown, and his college tee shirt (he’s headed off to the University of North Florida this fall). I enjoyed meeting him and getting to see his awesome smile…it can truly light up a room! David graduated from Lake Mary Prep School, and was referred to me by his sister (I did her photos last year). His family was very sweet, and I am grateful they returned to me for a second shoot. I think it came out beautifully, and really documents this important time in his life.
Cap and gown photos are something that not every senior does, but I really encourage my clients to consider them. That cap and gown is something that your senior really earns, and for some, there are additional circumstances that make it even more special. I’ve worked with seniors who are the first to graduate high school in their families, or ones who had to overcome incredible odds just to get to graduation. Whether personal tragedies or medical issues, there are many reasons why graduation can be more challenging for some kids rather than others. The cap and gown is symbolic of the hard work and challenges that high school represents, and high school graduation truly only happens once…why not commemorate that amazing achievement with cap and gown photos? Like David (below), we can also include some images in your college garb to show off your future home, too.
