If this stunning girl looks familiar, it’s for a good reason. She was featured here on our blog in December, and I got to reunite with her for these awesome cap and gown minis that also included her boyfriend. I haven’t been able to do a ton of high school couple shots, so this was a fun departure for me, and something unique. If you are someone who is considering including their significant other in some senior images, that’s definitely a possibility. I always want to listen to my clients, and make their dreams and vision come to life, and sometimes that includes their boyfriend or girlfriend.
For this session, both graduates brought their cap and gown (I love cap and gown photos, because you worked hard for that tassel and should wear it more than once!), and we captured a few photos of them together, too. Her boyfriend was a very sweet young man, who loves the outdoors. He also loves to fish and of course, has a soft spot for his truck! You can really tell how much they care about each other. He was a great sport, and the photos of them walking down the street really bring my heart joy!
We have included everything from trombones to pet dogs and everything in between in senior photos. That’s because I believe with all my heart that your session should reflect the person you are, and the things that bring you joy. That means your session might not look like everyone else’s and that’s okay. I always encourage my clients that your job is not to be like everyone else; your job is to be YOU! Whether you love Harry Potter, the latest trends or styles, your car, or your pet, we can incorporate pieces of those passions right into your session without it looking cheesy or tacky. We aim for excellence in everything we do, and these photos are just one example.
