“Cherish the memories”. It’s a phrase many of my seniors share with me, including this amazing young lady, and there’s a reason why. It’s because as you look backward on that commencement stage, those four years seem to have flown by much too quickly (and for you parents, it seems like a blink). Cherishing the memories is something that most don’t try to do until they are drawing to the end of their high school careers. That’s why I love hearing so many juniors and seniors share that they are making a conscious effort to show up and be present in these last few months…they are truly irreplaceable. This beautiful girl is Suraye, and she is preparing to bid farewell to her high school years at Saint Cloud High. She is a delightful student, friend, and daughter, and I loved our time together. Suraye is particularly fond of her math classes at school, and has really enjoyed playing volleyball and being part of the orchestra. She is passionate about helping others, and working with children who are at-risk. She hopes to major in child psychology later on, to help as many families as she can.
In her spare time, this active and fun-loving senior enjoys all things Harry Potter, and watching old movies. She also loves to read, and shop at stores like Forever 21 and H&M. When it comes to style, she describes her own as “laid back but unique in my own way”. Suraye requested a session that reflected her love of the urban city life and her personal, casual style. She loves wearing pieces like her Vans, bodysuits, and dresses with boots. When I asked her about other things that are meaningful to her, she mentioned her mom, and also her faith. In fact, she shared that giving her life to Christ has been her biggest personal highlight. Her many friends describe her as fun to be with, and I agree!
Congratulations, Suraye. I hope you soak up these last few months!
