As my children have grown, I’ve always tried to instill a good work ethic in them. Hard work is something that will benefit you all your life, and it’s a trait I really admire in the seniors that I work with. Shea is someone who knows the value of hard work, and she’s truly an inspiration! Shea is part of the Cornerstone Charter Academy Class of 2021, where she is part of the varsity soccer team, and the National Honor Society. One of her passions is volunteering to share her love of soccer with young children, and she’s been volunteering at the Discovery Church for quite some time. Her extra-curricular include playing club soccer at Liverpool FC International Academy and she loves reading and going to the lake with friends and family. “Soccer is my biggest passion”, she adds, “Even though I won’t be playing in college, I do plan to continue playing after high school. It has been part of my life since I was six, and there is nothing that makes me feel more alive!” Shea continues, “Ultimately, my hard work has paid off! All the hard work of sacrificing things has allowed me to accomplish my goal of being at the top of my class, and getting into a good university!” Once she graduates, Shea will be heading to the University of Florida, which she adds is, “the perfect distance from home”. She hopes to major in psychology, and enter into their pre-med program.
When it comes to fashion, Shea shared with me that she has to wear a uniform to school, but that she enjoys shopping at places like American Eagle and H&M for her non-uniform clothes. “For my senior photos, I was hoping to just not stress about it! I wanted to be relaxed and have fun!” I loved creating a stress-free experience for this special young lady, and getting to know her personality (her friends describe her as smart, loyal, and athletic). Because the lake is one of her favorite places, we included some photos near the water. Many seniors love our signature “lake shots”, and we often hear that they are a deciding factor when they choose me for their senior milestone!
