When it comes to senior portraits, “simple” is not a bad thing. In fact, a simple, classic portrait with beautiful light, and a well-framed subject can be far more impactful than something ultra-trendy that won’t withstand the test of time. That was something that was very important to sweet Julee, who shared with me that she didn’t want photos where there was too much distractions in the background or styling. I totally agree; a classic styling will always be beautiful to look back on! As I got to know this wonderful young lady (I had already done her sister’s senior photos), I liked her more and more! She has a very outgoing and fun personality, and she is looking forward to graduating in the Class of 2021. She attends Trinity Prep, where she plays Lacrosse and Basketball, and is part of the National Honor Society. Something really meaningful that she has been a part of is her volunteer work with senior citizens, helping them set up Telehealth access during the COVID-19 crisis. On the weekends, you can find her playing Lacrosse, and listening to her favorite music.
One of her biggest accomplishments to date has been committing to play Lacrosse at Wellesley College, where she will be attending. She plans to major in biochemistry, and pursue her dream to become a doctor or a researcher. Her friends love her, and describe her as someone who is very passionate and fun; she looks up to her mom, and also values her loved ones. I liked how her personal style came through in her photos, especially in her wardrobe. Julee chose delicate florals, simple silhouettes, and classic cuts that were flattering and elegant. The garden area where we did these photos had the perfect botanicals to accent her sweet heart and showstopping smile!
Congratulations, Julee!
