Hannah | Class of 2021

I started to make a list of the things this amazing girl has accomplished during her years at Hagerty High School, but I realized that it would take a few pages! Hannah is a bright light, the kindest spirit, and a young lady who is truly going places in this world. She is graduating in the Class of 2021, and she’s a very accomplished musician and scholar. She’s been part of six honor societies at the school, and she plays the clarinet and bass clarinet. “I have learned that I really want to stop rushing through this part of my life”, explains Hannah, “I want to treat every moment as if it’s the last one. I was always so excited to get to senior year, and nothing really went according to plan. I took a lot of things for granted, because I was too focused on getting to this point. I’ve learned it’s important to enjoy the time that I have, right now, because there’s really no guarantees about tomorrow. It helped me put my life in perspective”. I think after a year like 2020, we have all learned to slow down a bit and appreciate the lessons life is teaching us.

Although she had a few bumps in the road, Hannah created lots of amazing memories during her high school years, including making it to All County on the bass clarinet, and overcoming performance anxiety during some musical auditions. When she’s not in school, she loves volunteering at her church, and working with the local pet rescue center. This bright girl hopes to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and is also interested in social sciences like psychology. In her spare time, she also loves reading a great book, writing, crocheting, and watching Netflix with friends. Her friends would describe her as outgoing, responsible, and hard-working, and they enjoy coming to her for advice and a listening ear.

Upon graduating, she plans to attending UCF or UF, and is hopeful she will end up at one of the same schools as some of her high school friends. She would like to major in Biology, and adds, “It will be a much easier transition to veterinary school if I already have some background, and one day, I hope to open my own practice.” I am proud of her hard-working spirit, and think she is truly beautiful, inside and out!
