Whenever I get to work with horses, I am thrilled! It is a rare treat, and every photographers dream to get to work with such beautiful and majestic animals. They bring gorgeous movement and strength to the images, and when they’re such an important part of a client’s life, I love incorporating them. Madison is a competitive equestrian, and was eager to bring her beloved animals into this commemorative moment. She is finishing up her senior year at Lake Highland Prep, and has (with the rest of us) learned to juggle this strange time in the world with the joy of her accomplishments. During her years at LHP, she has been involved in student government, the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, and the Best Buddies club. She also is passionate about her time in her local YoungLife chapter. Besides her work with students in the Best Buddies sector, she also has worked with athletes through the Special Olympics, and delights in mentoring young children through the Ivey Lane Elementary program as well. “I have a brother with special needs,” she shared with me, “He has inspired me to be a better person and has taught me what unconditional love is.” Madison has a huge heart, and her kind and laidback personality is just a treasure.
Her time in school and various clubs makes for a very full schedule, but she loves fostering her love for horses and riding when she has free time. “Riding horses is the thing that makes me feel most alive,” she adds, “There just is a connection that is so magical, and seeing how hard work pays off.” Madison (Maddie) also loves going to the local beaches, hanging out with her friends and family, and being outdoors with the ones she loves. She is active, and also likes keeping healthy by working out frequently.
She plans to attend SMU in Dallas in the fall, and then really wants to tackle her bucket list, which includes sky diving, plenty of travel, and competing in a horse-riding grand prix.
