Dream big. It’s something we are told from the time we are little, but oftentimes, those dreams get tempered by reality before we grow up. The dreams we come up with when we are small often take a backseat to all of the responsibilities of life, but I am reminded of my own hopes and dreams when I work with senior clients like Emma. They are filled with hope and excitement about the next steps in their lives, and they really are dreaming about things that they are willing to work hard to achieve. Emma is one hardworking young lady. She is part of the Class of 2020 at Lake Mary High School, and she is truly amazing. She’s on the varsity tennis team, in the Spanish honor society, the National honor society, and is on the debate team. She really loves studying history, and works hard at her part-time job at Publix (she also worked at Sophie and Trey previously, which is an adorable boutique). Somehow, she finds a little extra time to practice piano, and head to the beach with her best friends. “Traveling and playing the piano are two of my biggest passions,” she explained, “those two things make me feel free and hopeful.” Emma says her mom is her hero, because of “the way she encourages me and my siblings to change the world.”
Some of Emma’s friends had used me for their senior sessions, and she was eager to celebrate this milestone herself. She is a very positive and upbeat person, and so she wanted a session to match…I loved her outlook on life, and of course, chose locations and styling to show off her personality. “My favorite quote is ‘Do one thing you’re afraid of every day’. I love this quote because it inspires me everyday to take chances and live my life to the fullest that I can on that given day.” One of her best memories so far has been traveling to New Zealand, and she is looking forward to accomplishing her travel bucket list (including going to Europe) after graduation. This beautiful girl hopes to attend the University of Florida, and adds that she will do “everything I can to make my dreams come true”. Congratulations, Emma!
