Easy, breezy…this shoot made me think of the Cover Girl slogan! Madison was relaxed, wonderful to work with, and stunningly gorgeous (even prettier than any makeup model!). She is graduating from Freedom High School, where she is always using her incredibly smart intellect, and exercising her love for people and her passions. She’s someone who can always be found volunteering when she’s not in class, and one of her biggest efforts has been with the local dog shelter. Connecting with animals and nature is something that’s often at the core of her decisions, and it makes sense…she’s got a huge heart and it comes through clearly in all her decisions. The National Art Honors Society is something else she loves, and she’s done stints playing soccer and basketball as well. When I asked her about her favorite subjects in school, she explained that she really enjoys her environmental science and biology classes, and that she has worked part time outside of school at a local nail salon and pizzeria. Maddie totally lights up when you ask her about her friends and family, and when she has any free weekends, you can find her at the beach, or fishing with loved ones.
Like so many seniors, dreaming of her session was a pastime she enjoyed, and she pictured “somewhere remote, full of nature, and preferably in the golden hour”. We were fortunate to be able to make this vision come to life, and the light was just right to highlight her big smile and beautiful style. Her mom discovered my work on social media, and they both loved the locations and options that were available to my clients. If you ask this beautiful girl what she has learned in the last few years, she is quick to explain that it’s been the freedom to be herself that’s been most valuable. “I’ve learned that it’s always best to be myself, and it’s actually okay to stand out and be different”, she explained, “I always look up to people like my aunt, who have come from low places in their lives, and risen to success on their own.” After this chapter closes in her life, she plans to attend FGCU, and work towards her goal of developing strategies for sustainable energy.
