Matthew | Hagerty High School Senior

When it comes time for some of the guys’ senior sessions that I do, I know many of them think these photos are just for their mom or dad, and that they really don’t want to do a senior shoot. I get it. Some don’t really love dressing up, or having to answer questions from a photographer about what they like to do, or how to pose. But I always encourage them to do it anyways, because these photos aren’t just for your mom or dad. Believe it or not, they are for YOU. They are to celebrate the achievements and passions you had in your high school years, they are to mark a milestone in your life, and they are the things you will look back on in ten or twenty years. They will never be something you regret doing. I also want to add that our guy’s sessions are really fun! We laugh a lot, explore the local Florida area together, and find the aspects that truly interest you.

Matthew is a graduating senior from Hagerty High School, and yes, we had a great time doing his senior photos! He is an extremely talented athlete, who plays on the varsity tennis team. He is very bright and academic as well (he seriously won the lottery on both the athletic and academic fronts!), and he excels in math and science. I know he works very hard on the tennis court and in the classroom. He hopes to study math and science in college, and is awaiting his final decision on which lucky university he will call home in the fall. I was so grateful to do his sister’s session last year, and was delighted to reunite with their family again! A few other facts about Matthew: he loves his dog, a chocolate labradoodle, and he grew up going to Disneyworld many times, as his mom works there (how fun is that?!). For his session, we did a mix of locations, and included some of him on the tennis court. I hope those will be an extra special reminder of the hours and time he has put into the sport…true dedication!
