You may remember Albi, a recent senior guy who we featured on the blog (find it here). Thanks to that wonderful young man, I got to meet and work with Andrew, the amazing graduate you’ll meet today! I feel so grateful that many of my senior clients refer their friends to me…I say the more, the merrier. Andrew is a graduate from Lake Mary Prep, and he will celebrate his commencement this year as part of the Class of 2019. He is active in his school, and passionate about his work on the debate team. He is extremely gifted in this area, and has actually won championship titles in the Public Forum Debate category. Andrew (and his debate partner Albi) have also made it all the way to the semi-finals at the Yale Invitational; no small feat, and something he should be extremely proud of. Besides speech and debate, this eloquent and talented student also enjoys powerlifting and golf. Originally, he made the move to sunny Florida in order to pursue attending a golf academy, but moved his focus to academics instead. Andrew is delightfully witty, calm, and confident, and I was so impressed with his poise. It’s clear why he finds success in everything he tries: his work ethic and positive attitude benefit him tremendously.
When I plan and design a guy’s session, it’s not really all that different than one for a young lady. Both involve getting to know the senior on a personal level, and understanding their accomplishments and their beautiful personalities! I hope more senior guys realize that portraits don’t have to be a stressful or intimidating event…they can and are incredibly fun and meaningful. And, they’re not just for your parents. They will be something YOU will look back on with fondness and yes, probably giggle over with your children and grandchildren as they comment on the fashion or setting as the years go by. It’s part of the celebration of life’s big moments and milestones, and what I hope to give every client I work with. Andrew’s session shows off his quiet charm, his handsome smile, and his graciousness to everyone he meets. I know he will go on to do great things, and I cannot wait to see what those will be!
