Art has power. I think that is why we creative types love it so much. Art enables us to make our hopes and dreams tangible, to pour into others in ways we know how. I love my art because it is a way to show teens and seniors how valuable and unique they are, and they power they have to change their futures. Taylor, this stunning young lady you’ll see below, is passionate about art and art history, and is involved at the local Rhetta’s School of Art as well. She loves painting and drawing, and I was impressed by her multi-faceted talents, as well as her sweet personality. She is introverted, but really funny and kind as soon as you get to know her. I was honored to get to know her in our recent session together, and spent some time finding the perfect location for this sweet girl. I loved the greenery and pretty garden area we found, and Taylor looked so elegant and lovely. As a senior at Winter Park High School, she’s obviously very busy, and enjoys being involved in the Beta Club, her science classes, Lacrosse, and weightlifting. Taylor has also been a babysitter for quite some time, lending her artistic spirit to the lives of children she knows. I was honored to also take her family’s photos for Winter Park Magazine.
“My favorite fashion trends right now would be vintage and old-fashioned styles, and I love light wash denim shorts,” explained this bright grad, “I love shopping at places like Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, and PacSun. I also love wearing light rose or mauve, because it goes with my hair and eyes.” It was important to Taylor that she felt very natural in her senior session, and wanted diverse scenery and wardrobe choices. She made an impression on me when I first photographed their family, and I was glad the feeling was mutual; it was an honor to work with her again! College is next on her list, followed by a bucket list that includes going to the Galápagos Islands and getting a dog! I look forward to seeing her continue her love of art and people as she steps in the future.
