One of the best things about living in Florida is the gorgeous greenery we are surrounded by. The plants and trees are plentiful here in the sunshine state. Nearly every location I scout has some beautiful foliage, and my seniors always love to discover new plants and flowers everywhere we go. They give the backdrop of my photos a special spark. Sarah’s locations were great for her bright personality and big smile. Sarah is graduating from Lake Highland Preparatory School, where she has been working incredibly hard for the last few years. She is part of Project Magic, the American Sign Language Club, the art club, and the Latin club, just to name a few. She is passionate about Latin, and she cites it as her very favorite subject in school. Sarah also enjoys the classical arts, and plays the cello. When she’s not writing, creating complicated digital art, or drawing, she also loves the occasional video game.
“One thing I have learned in high school is that happiness can be influenced by outside factors, but if you really want to be happy you need to make it happen for yourself,” says this bright grad. Sarah says her favorite quote is ‘The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, and the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff,” by Carl Sagan. “I love it because it helps me feel a little more in place in this universe,” says Sarah. Sarah describes herself as intelligent, outgoing, and friendly, and one of her biggest accomplishments to date has been working on a sci-fi novel. As an artist and a creative, the composition of her images was important to Sarah, and I took that seriously. One of the main reasons she chose me when she was searching with her mother, was my composition (a high compliment!) with the backgrounds. After graduation, she plans to attend college, but was undecided where that would be at the time of her shoot.
Thanks, Sarah, for choosing me! I loved creating these milestone images with you!
