It is always a special privilege to get to do senior portraits for family and friends, because I know they could choose any photographer here in Florida…when they decide to use me, it is such a gift. In this season of thanksgiving, it is one of the things I am most thankful for. Ellie’s family and ours are dear friends, and our children went to elementary school together. Getting to watch Ellie grow into such a beautiful, accomplished, and sweet young lady has been an honor for our family, especially for me. Ellie attends Winter Park High School, and is part of the National Honor Society and the Builders Club (which is an organization that reaches out to the local community and does volunteer work in the area). Her friends would say she is ‘laid-back and easygoing”, and I’d certainly agree. Besides being a loving friend and quality person, Ellie is an INCREDIBLE soccer player! Soccer comprises most of her extra curricular activities and her spare time, and she loves the sport. She has committed to UCF, and will be playing soccer there as well. Her drive to be successful and her big heart really give her an advantage in just about every area of her life. When she’s not on the soccer fields, she loves being at the beach with her loved ones, so we included a little bit of the sand and water elements into her session.
“Casual and not too formal”photos were what Miss Ellie requested, and I knew we were going to have a great time! She is easygoing but also loves to laugh, and every photographer knows that is a recipe for the perfect senior shoot. When it came time to choose her senior wardrobe, she opted for trendy yet sophisticated pieces in black and white (her favorite colors to wear), and her UCF soccer shirt! She shared with me that, “My favorite season to dress for is summer! I love shopping at places like Urban Outfitters, Revolve, and Free People, and my favorite current fashion trend is platform shoes.” Some other interesting things about this Winter Park grad are that she has been to Africa (her favorite vacation so far), and she would love to travel to Switzerland after she graduates. Thank you, Ellie, for allow me the privilege to watch you grow up, and to be your senior photographer!
