Summerlyn | Lake Mary High School Grad

This gorgeous gal has already graduated from Lake Mary High School, and is headed to the University of Florida, but her session was too amazing not to share here on the blog. Meet Summerlyn, part of the Class of 2018. She’s an aspiring actress who was part of the drama club, chorus, thespian honor society, and theater at her high school, as well as academically involved in the National Honor Society. Amazingly, she also worked part time at Chick-Fil-A, and at Tijuana Flats. If you ask her what her hobbies are, her list is long, and she says, “I enjoy running, dancing, and singing, as well as cooking, and spending time with my family.” Although she’s musically and theatrically gifted, she plans to major in broadcast journalism to couple her love of people and speech. To round out her many activities and passions, she also loves working out, shopping for the latest styles, and browsing Pinterest for inspiration. As she looked back at her many accomplishments during high school, she said the standout was being in a musical that won first place at a district competition, and sharing that moment with her fellow cast-mates.
“When I think about my senior photos, I envisionย a very natural and fun atmosphere,” shared Summerlyn, “I would love for my pictures to showcase my happy and fun personality, and I love nature, so I would love for my pictures to be in very natural scenery. ย Overall, I would love for my session to showcase a natural look within the scenery and the outfits I choose.” I knew we could make this happen, and so we worked hard to curate locations that fit what she had in mind. The results were elegant and lovely, just like her. This beautiful girl’s favorite styles include floppy beach hats and Jack Rogers Sandals, and she loves scoring the best deals at Forever 21 and Marshalls. Besides being happily settled in at UF, she also has plans to travel the world and star on Broadway one day. “Working with Linda, I loved that the lighting brought out my eyes, and natural beauty,” she summarized, “My green eyes are one thing I love about myself, and I wanted them to be showcased. I also loved the more natural look, and wanted something with water and flowers.” I loved working with Summerlyn, and can’t wait to also do her sister’s senior portraits in the fall!
