Here’s one of the warmest and most inviting families alive: Sid, Michelle, Caroline, Gaines, Laura Leigh, and Claire make up the Cash family, and as a unit they amount to some of the best stuff you’ll find in life! Sid’s a native to Florida, having spent his entire life in the area. His lovely wife, Michelle, has been there for 23 years, and four years ago the couple moved to beautiful Golfside in Winter Park. Sid’s a VP of sales with Sidecar HR, a human resource solutions company. Michelle is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Glenridge Middle School. She loves what she does, and uses her skills and talents to provide free services to the children of Winter Park. Their kids are as active as they are: Caroline was active in soccer before college, and is now a sophomore at University of Florida. Gaines plays football and baseball at Winter Park High School, and Laura Leigh is a diver with YCF diving, and does the same for WPHS alongside swimming. And Claire cheers for Winter Park Cheer Athletics. Their parents love coming to their games and watching them practice. In fact, they love anything to do with their kids, as being around their kids is one of their favorite things to do! Besides that, though, Sid loves coaching, watching and playing sports, and Michelle enjoys reading and exercising.
One of their favorite places to be is their home, and their favorite family dinners are just that: family dinners. Any meal that is surrounded by the whole of their lovely family are the ones that they love the most. The dinner table has many uses besides that, another especially being playing games, which is a time filled more with laughter than competition. Sid is well-versed in competition, though, being a coach, and a great one at that. It’s his coaching that makes Michelle love him even more, and encouraging and teaching the kids to play the sports he loves – football and baseball – are some of his greatest gifts. Coaching isn’t the only way they’re involved with their community; Michelle volunteers at her children’s schools, is the troop leader for Troop 1984 at Brookshire Elementary, teaches third grade Sunday school, and leads a small Bible study for teenage girls in her area. She also works part-time in the summer months at Grace Medical Home. It has a special place in Michelle’s heart, being a sort of missing link in Central Florida’s healthcare system by providing ongoing primary care needs for the low income citizens of Central Florida.
Similar to their love for each other is their love for their neighbors. Their home is a revolving door for the kids of their neighborhood, and they love it. The Winter Park community are people who truly care about each other. It’s commonplace to hear lots of laughing children, families spending time over a meal together, and people living out a servant’s heart toward their friends. The Cash’s feel so blessed to be a part of the Winter Park community as a whole, they love the town and all the people in it!
