Today’s featured post is about my amazing experience at Amanda Holloway’s workshop retreat I attended in Jupiter, FL a few weeks ago! This is an annual retreat where photographers get together to share ideas, create, learn, and grow. We covered things such as editing, lighting, social media, marketing, photographing, posing, products and more. It is a wonderful environment where everyone supports and encourages each other. On both days, we had shoots where we split up into 10 groups of 3 and rotated between different models (the girls aren’t paid models — they are actual high school students (a few were in college and 2 did have modeling experience). We got to experience shooting with new people in new places, like at the beach in Jupiter, in the city of Palm Beach, and at an old church. Amanda encouraged us to learn and practice new shooting techniques and to step outside of the box to try something new. It was such a great atmosphere of learning, growing, and togetherness.
